Considering Kate The Stanislaskis Silhouette Special Edition No 1379 Nora Roberts 9780373243792 Books

It is a "given" that author Nora Roberts' characters will all be very relatable, and this book is no exception. When a famous ballerina retires to her small hometown, with plans to open a School of Dance, then hires a single and very attractive contractor to remodel a home she is buying to turn it into her dance school, you have the basis for this story. The fact that he is a widower with a lovable little boy just ads to the intrigue. I truly loved this story and highly recommend it.

Considering Kate The Stanislaskis Silhouette Special Edition No 1379 Nora Roberts 9780373243792 Books Reviews

Kate Kimball knows her mind. She is a successful ballet dancer, but has decided to come home and start her own dance studio. In her mothers' toy store, she meets Brody O'Connell, and feels immediate chemistry towards him. She needs the building she bought to be renovated completely. Her mother recommends Brody as that contractor. Kate is strong-willed and knows what she wants and goes after it. She has her sights set on Brody.
Brody lost his wife four years ago to Cancer. He and his son, Jack have been a 'team' ever since. He is a good and loving father, and doesn't have time for romance or dating. Brody has to think things through, where Kate is aggressively impulsive. The chemistry is undeniable between them, but Brody has his son to consider.
Kate falls in love with them both, and sets her mind to make them a family.
This is a funny, heartwarming story of family, fighting, loving and dedication to each other. A good read anytime.
I love a good feel good book. This hit the mark. I have fallen in love with all the Stanislaskis, and I want to be apart of the family! Nora Roberts hits another home run with considering Kate. It's easy to fall in love with the carpenter Brody and Handsome Jack. I often felt the tears sting my eyes as the widower Brody sets to rebuild his life. Wonderfully written story that makes me want to go back and visit all the Stanislaskis again and again!
This was a nice afternoon read. The hero and his son were very believable and appealing and the heroine's family provided the love and support that every family should offer. The heroine was dedicated and driven but a bit less likable than the other main characters since I that doubt a woman less beautiful and less talented could, in the real world, get away with her attitude. But romance novels are, after all, fairy tales for adults, and this book was a nice fairy tale. I will probably read more about the interesting Stanislaskis family.
The Stanislaskis are one of my favorite families and I was really hoping to read another wonderful addition to the series. Unfortunately Kate doesn't have any depth as a character and she comes across as desperate and aggressive. The main love interest, Brody also lacks depth and doesn't captivate you at all when compared to Mikhail for example. It doesnt feel like Nora put her heart and soul into the story and its unfortunately predictable, flat and empty. Definitely not a story of her normal standard.
I absolutely loved this book. Kate and Brody are wonderful together, and I loved Brody's son. My favorite scenes are when Brody his son (sorry, I can't seem to remember the boy's name...my memory is terrible) go to New York to see Kate dance...The whole book was just amazing, and I enjoyed every one in this series, and would love it if Ms. Roberts chose to add more! ) I love anything by Nora Roberts, and this one has a special place in my heart! )
What can I add to already excellent reviews for an excellent book -- not much but to add my five stars. The last book of the series (and the first I have read of the series) and I am in love with Nora Roberts. Just what I was looking for -- relatable characters and relatable lives -- people I would like to know myself. Kate, the accomplished dancer coming home to open her own dance academy. Brody, the handsome widower with a young son coming home to rebuild his life after the loss of his wife several years previous. And a family that surrounds them with humor and understanding and love. I now am going to have to start at the beginning of the series with "Taming Natasha." So glad I came to this after the whole series had been written. Now I can read them without waiting.
Considering Kate is the last of six books in Norah Roberts' fine and fascinating series on the Stanislaski Family. It's NOT a new series of books, so if you've been reading Nora for a couple of decades, as I have, you've probably already read all six and enjoyed them once. They're worth another read and these e-versions definitely belong on the s of Nora's devoted fans. Just be careful and try to read them in order; doesn't make this easy because on the KINDLE Bookstore site, if you search for "Stanislaski series" you'll be taken to a page that has the first two (or maybe three) in the order in which they were written, but gets the others all mixed up! To help you out, here is the chronological order of the series (and a couple of words on the relationship with Natasha of each protagonist)
1. Taming Natasha
2. Luring a Lady, featuring Mikhail, Natasha's brother.
3. Falling for Rachel, featuring Rachel, Natasha's sister.
4. Convincing Alex, featuring Alexi, Natasha's brother.
5. Waiting for Nick, featuring Natasha's brother-in-law's brother!!
6. Considering Kate, featuring Natasha' s daughter.
In all of the books, you'll also meet or renew your relationship with Mama (Nadia) and Papa (Yuri) Stanislaski. Enjoy!

HOLD THE PRESSES. AN UPDATE As of Jan. 15, 2014, 's is offering, for a great price, the ebook Stanislaski's Bundle 1 of 2 Considering Kate\Convincing Alex\Falling for Rachel. Note, however, that once again, the publisher managed to mess up the order in which the books should be read for the best reader enjoyment! Amazing!!
